Privacy Policy

This policy covers Adventure Coast Rentals, LLC and every brand and division we operate, including Adventure Coast Restrooms (“Adventure Coast”, “we”, “us”, “our”). It applies to all our websites, including adventurecoastrentals.com, restrooms.adventurecoastrentals.com, fuel.adventurecoastrentals.com, and any other site or page where we post it. It also applies when you call, text, or email us; when you rent equipment; when our crew is on your site; and when you visit our yard.
The short version
We rent equipment and vehicles, and we service them on your site. We collect what we need to quote the job, put the gear where it belongs, keep it running, get it back, and invoice you.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Our main website does run Google advertising tools, which under some state laws counts as “sharing” your information for advertising. You can opt out. See Cookies, analytics and advertising.

What we collect
Not all of this applies to every customer. What we collect depends on what you rent and how you deal with us.
Who you are and how to reach you
Your name, job title, company or production, and department.
Your email address, phone number, and mobile number.
Your mailing and billing address.
Your rental and your job
What you are renting, the dates, and the rates and estimates we quote.
Delivery, basecamp, and pickup addresses; site access notes; gate codes and parking instructions; and the name and number of the site contact.
Service details such as pumping and fresh water schedules, fuel deliveries, maintenance calls and on-site technician hours.
Purchase order numbers, contract and account records, and your rental history with us.
Delivery and pickup records, including signatures, condition reports and photographs of equipment and its placement. People are sometimes in the frame of a site photo.
Drivers and operators
If you or your crew will drive or operate a vehicle or a piece of equipment we own, we collect what we need to hand it over lawfully and to satisfy our insurer:
Driver's license details, including the license number, the date of birth printed on it, and the expiration date.
Proof of insurance, including certificates of insurance that name us and your broker's contact details.
Operator certifications where a machine requires one.
Incident and damage reports, which may name the people involved and describe what happened.
Billing and tax
Billing contacts and addresses, purchase orders and invoice history.
Payment method details. Card and bank account numbers are handled by our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers ourselves.
Business tax identification numbers and W-9 information for accounts we invoice.
Equipment location
Some of our vehicles, trailers, and generators carry telematics or GPS units. These report where the equipment is, how it is running, its hours, and its fuel level. We use this to dispatch service, deliver fuel, schedule maintenance, and locate overdue or missing equipment. The unit reports on the equipment, not on a person. If you are the one operating it, its location is effectively your location while you have it.
What you say to us
Email, text messages, web form submissions, and notes our staff takes from a phone call. We keep the threads attached to a job as part of the job record. We do not record phone calls.
Our facilities
Security cameras cover our yard and shop. If you come to collect or return equipment, we record you.
Website and device information
When you use our websites, we collect, automatically:
Your IP address, your browser and device type, and your operating system.
The pages you looked at, the page you came from, and the date and time.
Identifiers stored by cookies. See the next section.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser so it can recognize that browser later. We use cookies for three things:
Running the site. Squarespace sets cookies that keep forms working and protect against forged submissions.
Measuring visits. Squarespace sets a visitor cookie so we can see how many people came and which pages they read.
Advertising. We use Google Ads and Google Tag Manager. These set cookies and send information to Google, including your IP address and the pages you viewed, so Google can tell us which ads brought people to the site and can show our ads to people who have visited before.
Several state privacy laws treat that last item as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, or as “targeted advertising”. We are telling you plainly that we do it, and you can stop it.
Your browser controls
You can set your browser to refuse cookies. Parts of adventurecoastrentals.com may stop working if you do. You can also turn off ad personalization in Google's ad settings, and opt out of many advertising cookies at optout.aboutads.info.
We honor the Global Privacy Control. If your browser or an extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to stop sharing that browser's information for advertising.
Where the information comes from
From you, when you request a quote, place an order, sign a rental agreement, or talk to us.
Automatically, from your browser when you use our websites, and from telematics units on equipment you have rented.
From other people. A production coordinator or general contractor booking on your behalf gives us your name and number as a site contact. Your insurance broker sends us certificates.
How we use it
Quote, book, deliver, place, service, fuel, repair and collect the equipment you rent.
Reach you about a job in progress, including changes, delays, damage and emergencies.
Decide whether to rent a vehicle or machine to a particular driver or operator, and satisfy our insurer.
Invoice you, collect payment, and keep the accounting and tax records we're required to keep.
Track, maintain and recover our equipment.
Investigate incidents, damage and loss, and handle insurance claims.
Market our services to business customers, and measure whether our advertising works.
Keep our sites and our yard secure, and prevent fraud and abuse.
Meet our legal obligations and enforce our rental agreements.
Who we share it with
Service providers. Companies that run parts of our operation under contract and only for that purpose: web hosting, email delivery, payment processing, accounting, telematics, insurance, and professional advisers.
Subcontractors and partners on your job. Haulers, pumping services, fuel suppliers, traffic control crews, and technicians get the site address, the access notes, and the site contact. Nothing beyond what the task needs.
Advertising and analytics partners. Google, as described above, for our main website.
Insurers and claims handlers, when there is damage, an incident or a claim.
Legal. To comply with the law, to respond to a subpoena or other legal process, or to protect our rights, our people, or our equipment.
Related companies under common ownership with us, for the purposes described in this policy.
A sale of the business. If Adventure Coast Rentals, LLC is sold or merged, customer records would transfer with the rest of the business and would stay subject to a policy at least as protective as this one.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Our use of Google advertising tools may count as “sharing” under some state laws, which is why we say so above and give you a way to stop it. If you give us your mobile number, we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We never share consent to service texts about your rental.
Your rights and choices
We serve customers across the country, and several states now give their residents privacy rights. Rather than ask you where you live, we extend these to everyone. You can ask us to:
Tell you what personal information we hold about you, where it came from, and who we gave it to.
Give you a copy of it.
Correct anything that is wrong.
Delete it, where we are not required to keep it for tax, contract, insurance, or legal reasons.
Stop marketing emails and texts. Reply STOP to a text, use the unsubscribe link in an email, or tell us. We will still contact you about an active job.
Email contact@adventurecoastrentals.com, or call or text 770-728-5452. Put “Privacy request” in the subject line. We may need to confirm who you are before we act, usually by matching your request against an existing account or order. An authorized agent may make a request for you with written permission. We will not charge you or treat you worse for asking.
We will respond within 45 days and let you know if we need more time. If you disagree with our decision, reply to request an appeal, and a different person will review it. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may also complain to their state Attorney General.
How long we keep it
We keep rental agreements, invoices, incident reports, and the communications attached to a job for as long as we need them to run the job, and afterward for as long as tax, accounting, insurance, and contract law require. Telematics history, site photographs, security camera footage and web server logs age out on their own schedules, which are much shorter. When we no longer need a record for either reason, we delete it.
How we protect it
Our sites are served over HTTPS, and forms are submitted encrypted. Our payment processor handles card and bank details; we don't store them. Access to customer records is limited to staff who need it. No transmission or storage method is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send a card number or a bank account number by email or text, or type one into a notes field. If we need one, we will tell you a safe way to send it.
Children
Our services are for businesses and adults. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us, and we will delete it.
Job applicants and staff
This policy does not cover information we collect from people applying to work with us or from our own employees and contractors. If you apply for a job, we will tell you separately how we handle your application.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version and update the date at the top. We will call out material changes here.
